...makes me want to stuff a sock in her mouth. What is with her voice? She
needs larynx surgery or something. God. A commentator with a voice for mime.

There is a dog on Catherine Crier right now....(yes, that's a non-sequitur,
but so is the dog on Catherine Crier right now)

Ugh. Have things gotten so desperate that they're interviewing Mackenzie now?

Seriously, though -- doesn't she have a strange voice? She talks with her
throat, or something.

***Her voice is horrible--sounds whiney and jarring. Unlike many of her Court
TV colleagues, she'll never move on to one of the networks. Which is
unfortunate because she appears to be a pretty good reporter. Clara Tuma, for
those who remember her, had a sort of similar problem--she was too fat and
unattractive to get a better job. Anyone know where she is now? Her reports
were excellent.

Clara Tuma WAS excellent, is she completely gone? I haven't watched Court TV
too much since they started running tv shows and movies. I'm going to have
have to see if there's closed-caption on Karas, I just cannot take that
strange voice. It's like she's gargling syrup.

I thought that it was just that there haven't been many Texas cases covered
by CTV, and Clara was in Texas. (Well, I assumed she *lives* here.)

Beth's voice doesn't bother me, but Susan Estridge's voice is certainly odd.
OTOH, Nancy Grace is about to drive me to distraction. What bothers me the
most about NG right *now* is the fact that every damned day during her show,
she leaves for a break with a video of "Laci's mother, speaking out on the
day Scott Peterson was arrested." Then, at the end, "Let's go out with a
picture of [Miss] Laci." (Show some variety, Nancy!) I think I could
substitute for her and no one would know the difference if they didn't look
at the TV screen. First, I'd mention that I'm a crime victim myself, you
know, because my fiancé was murdered. "I *always* wear my grandmother's
ring...on *this* finger...so I understand Laci's wearing the pendant all the
time." Then at the end, "Thanks to my guests, N..., N..., and N.... But,
as always, [change voice to a near-sob] my greatest thanks go to you, the
viewers. Thank you for watching the case with me today." Interspersed
throughout the program would be, "Long story short..." and another overused
phrase that doesn't come to mind right now.

Karas is such a tart, Jon Stewart is more reliable, and he's a
comedian !

I just love that hair on the pliers theory, Scott decapitated Laci
with pliers?

Now you know why investigators like David Sween are so busy and
crackpots like this prosecution, need a Runaway Jury.

hey, at least she doesn't say "At the end of the day..." .

Besides, *I* would know the difference without looking, because you probably
don't have Nancy's grating, put-your-teeth-on-edge JAW-ja ac-sint. I want
to kick in my tv every time she opens her mouth. I wish people were required
to take some damned speech lessons before addressing the tv audience. God,
they're all horrible -- Karas, Greta, Nancy. Why can't everybody be Ted
Rowlands? lol

I don't mind their voices so much as the breathless
this-is-the-most-important-thing-in-the-world delivery. Over and over
and over again.

Well, I'm from Texas, so my accent might be just as bad...or worse.
