unfortunate because she appears to be a pretty good reporter. Clara

Maggie
Clara Tuma WAS excellent, is she completely gone? I haven't watched Court TV
too much since they started running tv shows and movies. I'm going to have
have to see if there's closed-caption on Karas, I just cannot take that
strange voice. It's like she's gargling syrup.
I thought that it was just that there haven't been many Texas cases covered
by CTV, and Clara was in Texas. (Well, I assumed she *lives* here.)
Beth's voice doesn't bother me, but Susan Estridge's voice is certainly odd.
OTOH, Nancy Grace is about to drive me to distraction. What bothers me the
most about NG right *now* is the fact that every damned day during her show,
she leaves for a break with a video of "Laci's mother, speaking out on the
day Scott Peterson was arrested." Then, at the end, "Let's go out with a
picture of [Miss] Laci." (Show some variety, Nancy!) I think I could
substitute for her and no one would know the difference if they didn't look
at the TV screen. First, I'd mention that I'm a crime victim myself, you
know, because my fiancé was murdered. "I *always* wear my grandmother's
ring...on *this* finger...so I understand Laci's wearing the pendant all the
time." Then at the end, "Thanks to my guests, N..., N..., and N.... But,
as always, [change voice to a near-sob] my greatest thanks go to you, the
viewers. Thank you for watching the case with me today." Interspersed
throughout the program would be, "Long story short..." and another overused
phrase that doesn't come to mind right now.
